A daughter fills a mother’s heart with joy but also with worry. Mothers often wonder, will she be alright? Will she get side-tracked along the way. Will she make the right choices?
A daughter keeps a mother on her knees—what a joy to pray and see God manifest Himself in our daughters. Daughters are truly God’s special gifts.

5 powerful nuggets for my special daughters
1. Daughter, know your rights !
“ Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all ” Gal 4:1 NKJV.
Our daughters need to know their true identity as an heir of God’s kingdom, a joint heir with Jesus Christ. Every privilege that Jesus has, they have too! When our daughters know who they are, then the devil can’t cheat them. They can stand their grounds and stand tall no matter what life throws at them.
The key to understanding their true identity is hidden in God’s words . The word of God has the answer !
Truth: The word of God has the answers to all of life’s questions
2. Daughter, you are untouchable !
” For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Col 3:3 KJV
The Lord has great promises in his word for our daughters . As mothers , we have the responsibility to constantly remind our daughters of the promises of God . Before anything touches them, it must pass through Christ. And since Christ is untouchable , our daughters are untouchable .
Any negative darts thrown at our daughters will be met with the assurance of God’s words .
Truth :Before anything touches you, it will have to go through Christ and God!
3. God is with you every day!
“ Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He, Himself has said,” I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebs 13:5b
God is true to his promises. He has an assurance in his words that He will always be with our daughters. It’s sometimes hard for us as mothers to let go, we worry, we fret but we need to learn how to let go and let God. God gave them to us and He is able to take care of them.
Mothers, remind your daughters that God keeps His words, He has promised to never leave them nor forsake them, Even when it seems like He is not there, He is still there and working behind the scenes. At the right season, He will show up and when He shows, he shows up big.
Truth : God is WITH you always.
4 You are not condemned!
“ So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life- union with Jesus, the anointed one.” Roms 8:1 TPT
Our daughters need to hear this truth constantly as they grow through different stages of life. They must not give in to the lie of the devil, they must never give in to guilt or self-condemnation, the blood of Jesus has redeemed them and the case is closed!
When our daughters struggle with doubts, self-judgement, criticism or any other lie the devil throws at them, we need to re-affirm the truth and point them to the loving saviour.
Truth : Daughter you are saved , you are free , you are justified, you are loved !
5 Jesus is coming back for you!
” I promise that I will never leave you helpless or abandon you as orphans – I will come back to you! John 14:18 TPT
The world seemed to have forgotten that Jesus will be back ! It’s possible that our daughters may never hear this truth as much as we heard it when we were growing up . We need to let them know that our relationship with God is not just for now but for eternity .
We need to encourage our daughters to live every day with the realisation that Jesus is coming back, sooner than we think .
What a joy to know that God will never leave us or abandon us . Our daughters may go through seasons when they will feel abandoned or helpless , the truth in the above verse will encourage their hearts that God is with them .
Truth : We are on a pilgrimage here; heaven is home.
We are on a pilgrimage here, heaven is home . We have a hope of a future abode with our father forever in eternity.
And that hope is what we as mothers need to build in our daughters. Hope is one of the most important aspects of our Christian faith. Hope is that which will keep our daughters’ faith going even in the midst of challenges, hope that there is a better place, a future abode with our father in eternity.
So daughters, stand tall and strong for God has made you beautiful for every situation. You are God’s special gift.
